Let me guess your weakness
Or some other time
Though I’m known to stay inside
With you I want to try
Ineffably, out of breath,
With a lake on top my chest
everybody’s left,
please don’t be next
Oh spit it out, I’m still here,
Every freckle, every tear
Nearly 30 years
What do you have in mind?
The crescent in the water
Can’t seem to catch a fish
And any bread I offer
Does not reach your lips
Adrenaline, mix it in
A Total lack of common sense
Hidden innocence, constantly tense
Ruddy edges un-caressed
Any case, I’ll do my best
What’s left unaddressed
What do you have in mind?
Part of me still wonders what it’s like
Mostly in the middle of the night
Is there such an outcome to my life?
Open to be surprised
What do you have in mind?

Sewn on Shadow
04:14
|
|||
That's when my psyche shattered
Need I really say more?
Feel the wind how it scatters me
All over the shore
I been stacking splinters
I pull ‘em one at a time
Clearest crystal midnight
Era of my life
Winter whistles
Through the temple
Shadows tremble
Asymmetrical
Oh it's simple
frail and dimpled
What’s the signal
Intellectual?
With your sewn on shadow
No one here is impressed
What possessed you to grope
Leonard’s veil of flesh
None of that now matters
Smoke is filling the barn
Go on move it along
We’ve sounded the alarm
Hollow horses
Hidden torches
Reinforcements
To your home coordinates
Captain Nemo
Quite the ego
What’s to fear though
If the sum is zero?
Entertainment
An estrangement
Can not change it
Make it so it’s painless
Will they won’t they
Spill it Brontë
Maybe one day
Perhaps in old age
Expensive fabrics
Chartreuse of absinthe
Fill up of an absence
Oh they have their merits
I’ve pre-ordered
Now I’m cornered
Now it’s torture
What did I do that for?

When the Weather's Cold
03:10
|
|||
It’s been years since i have been here
I’m not responding like
I thought i would. maybe this will
do me some good eventually
who’s this person grabbing me
acting like they oughta be
someone trustworthy
when they did so knowingly
I’d runaway when the weather’s cold
I’d runaway right under your nose
I’ll pack my things, some extra clothes
When the weather gets so freezing cold
No way that’s the root of my
Heart ache insecurities
It’s something deeper
Yes, the work of some bottom feeder
All my petulant anger
Pent up lonely wagers
Total strangers, when I’m the one
Who’s in danger
I’d runaway when the weather’s cold
I’ll runaway right under your nose
I'll pack my things, some extra clothes
When the weather gets so freezing cold

Feed the Fish
03:18
|
|||
How do you feed them with out scaring the others?
Is silence sufficient or is there more to the answer?
There you go
I burn the paper
Turn off the news
And I jump out of bed
And start looking for you
There you go
Get into the habit
Another song from static
A work of art from the attic
The lightning in your fabric
Tried it once and I couldn't stand it
Did what ever the room demanded
When I left that's when it landed
So be it then your wish is granted
What a landscape you can create
When you collide with what would not move
There you go

Worth the Wait
03:19
|
|||
Trust me I’ve googled
Scrolled through them all
Fossils of monsters
Frozen in walls
Precambrian era to
Late holocene
Whenever the wheel
First hit the scene
I'd say I think you were well worth the wait
The way your hair falls by your face this new day
It keeps getting longer
The number of years
‘Tween now and whenever
this timeline appeared
Only compounding
The way that I feel
To see how this world
Gives under your heels
To see your smile in the vacuum of this place
To see how you command such a stage in little ways
The gnarly business of natural selection
Volcanic ash boiling primordial oceans
Unbroken dynasties of horse shoe crab families
Driftwood highways and lost branches of species
I'd say I think you were well worth the wait
I don't care how long it turns out to take
